Suspects Break Into, Rob Vehicles in Mechanicsville Gym Parking Lots

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC)—The Hanover County Sheriff's Office seeks the public's help in identifying two suspects who have broken into and stolen from multiple vehicles parked in gym parking lots in the Mechanicsville area.

A similar crime also believed to have occurred in nearby Henrico County.

Between 5:30 and 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, three vehicles had their windows smashed. One incident occurred on the 7300 block of Bell Creek Road and two occurred in the 8000 block of Rutland Center Boulevard. Purses and other valuables in sight were stolen.

Another similar incident occurred on Monday, Dec. 2 on the 8000 block of Rutland Center Boulevard during the same time frame.  

One suspect is a black male, the other a white female.

The two suspects are believed to be driving a black Dodge Dart with tinted windows, and are thought to be stealing license plates from other vehicles prior to committing the crimes.
