Man Arrested for Robbing Multiple Banks

RICHMOND and HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC)—A 27-year-old man has been charged in connection with two different bank robberies that occurred this month.

On Dec. 19, a man robbed the Willow Lawn branch of Village Bank at 1650 Willow Lawn Drive. On Dec. 26, Richmond Police took Tamar Harvey, of the 2300 block of Ambrose Street, into custody. Following an investigation by the Henrico County Police Division, Harvey was charged with robbery and wearing a mask in public.

Harvey also robbed the M&T Bank on the 3100 block of West Broad Street on Dec. 26; he was arrested minutes after he left the bank, and the stolen money was recovered. In connection with this incident, Harvey has been charged with robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and wearing a mask in certain places.
