HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC)—An early-morning house fire has displaced three adults living in Henrico County's East End.

At 2:02 a.m. on Jan. 2, the Henrico County Division of Fire responded to the 1700 block of Ivy Cliffs Court, off of North Ivy Avenue, after neighbors reported seeing the fire and alerting the home's occupants.

Heavy fire blazed from the first and second floors of the home, as well as the roof. Firefighters tackled the flames from the exterior before moving inside. Though the home suffered significant damage, the fire was quickly brought under control and no other adjacent structures were affected.

At this time it is unknown if the home had working smoke detectors, and the incident remains under investigation by the Fire Marshall's Office.

An adult male and female were home when the fire broke out Thursday morning. The occupants were not injured, but they, along with an adult male who was at work at the time of the fire, have been displaced. The Greater Richmond Chapter of the American Red Cross will assist the victims.
