Richmond Police Officer Under Criminal Investigation for Invasion of Privacy
RICHMOND (WRIC) - A Richmond Police officer been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of a criminal investigation by State Police.
Officer Keri Buyalos faces a charge of using a computer for invasion of privacy, a class 6 felony.
State Police say they began their investigation after receiving a complaint and found Buyalos used the Virginia Criminal Information Network to disseminate information for non-criminal investigation purposes.
Buyalos has worked with the Richmond Police Department since 2009.
