Chesterfield Man Pleads Guilty to 2nd-degree Murder in Wife's Death

CHESTERFIELD, Va. (AP) - A Chesterfield County man accused of stabbing his wife 23 times has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.
    
Media outlets report that 45-year-old Tony M. Williams entered his plea Monday in Chesterfield Circuit Court. Judge Harold W. Burgess ordered a presentence report and continued the proceeding until May 1.
    
Prosecutors say Williams fatally stabbed his wife, 42-year-old Mia Williams, on Nov. 12, 2012 after he learned that she wanted a divorce. The couple's two children witnessed much of the attack.
