HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC)—A Richmond man has been charged in connection with a gun found at L. Douglas Wilder Middle School earlier this month.

The school was placed on lockdown on Jan. 13, when an eighth grader was found carrying a loaded magazine in the cafeteria. An unloaded handgun was found inside his backpack. No one was injured during the incident.

Jimmy Cunningham II, 26, of the 1700 block of Lyndover Road, has been charged with reckless handling of a firearm, a class 3 misdemeanor. Cunningham is an acquaintance of the 13-year-old male juvenile who was previously charged.
