HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC)—A 21-year-old
man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a gas station
convenience store that occurred last summer.
On July 20, 2013, the suspect
entered the Petrol gas station store at 901 Winston Churchill Drive, confronted
employees with a handgun and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash. No
injuries were reported.
On Jan. 30, Hopewell Police arrested
Taj Rashad Bullock, of Chesterfield County, in connection with the robbery. He
has been charged with armed robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a
felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Hopewell Police Chief John Keohane
said, "Great police work by responding patrol units, Police K-9 and detectives
led to the evidence recovery that identified this violent offender."
The USMS Capital Area Regional
Fugitive Task Force located and apprehended Bullock, who is now being held at
Riverside Regional Jail.
