LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC)—On Sunday, a sixth person was arrested in connection with the death and disappearance of Waynesboro reserve police captain Kevin Wayne Quick.

Virginia State Police took 22-year-old Anthony Lee White, of Mineral, into custody in Louisa County without incident. At 10:20 a.m. on Feb. 9, he was booked at Henrico County Jail West, where he is being held without bond. White has been charged with one felony count of gang participation. He is scheduled to appear in court in Goochland County on Monday.

On Saturday, Virginia State Police announced that the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner had confirmed late Friday that the remains discovered in Goochland County on Thursday were that of 45-year-old Quick. The cause of death has not yet been released.

Quick, of Rockfish, was reported missing on Feb. 1, when he failed to arrive at his girlfriend's residence in Albemarle County. Since then, six people, including Lee, have been arrested and charged in connection with his death and disappearance.

On Tuesday, siblings Daniel Mathis and Mersadies Shelton, of Albemarle County, were taken into custody in Alexandria; Virginia State Police charged the two with one felony count of grand larceny each for the theft of Quick's silver 1999 Toyota 4Runner. Their sister, Shantai Shelton, was arrested on an unrelated charge. All three siblings are being held at Central Virginia Regional Jail in Orange.

On Friday, Virginia State Police arrested and charged three additional suspects, Halisi Uhuru (also known as Girt Wright), Leslie Hope Casterlow and Anthony Darnell Stokes Jr., in connection with Quick's death and disappearance. The trio faces principle in the second degree murder charges and one felony count of gang participation. All are being held at Henrico County Jail West, and will virtually appear in court in Goochland County on Monday afternoon.

Virginia State Police continue to investigate the case, which spans much of the Commonwealth.
