HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC)—The Henrico County Police Division has arrested and charged a man in connection with a series of sexual assaults that date back 24 years.
Kevin Lamont Spencer, of the 2400
block of Carmine Street in the City of Richmond, has been served 11 indictments
for his role in three sexual assaults that occurred in June 1990, September
1990 and June 1991 on the 200, 300 and 700 blocks of North Laburnum Avenue.
On Friday, the 44-year-old was charged with three counts of rape, three counts of breaking and entering, two counts of robbery, one count of sodomy, one count of malicious wounding and one count of stabbing.
"Detectives' research, as well as DNA collected as a result of the investigation, led to charges being placed," Henrico Police Lieutenant Linda Toney said in an email.
The three female victims—one was in her late teens; the others were in their twenties—were all strangers to Spencer.
