Teen Dies in Richmond Shooting

RICHMOND (WRIC)—A teenage boy has died after being shot early Tuesday morning.

Around 1:30 a.m. on Feb. 25, Richmond Police officers responded to the 3600 block of McRand Street, where they found a 16-year-old boy who had been shot. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead Tuesday afternoon.

The 3600 block of McRand Street is located north of Hull Street, east of East Belt Boulevard and south of Midlothian Turnpike, just about a mile away from George Wythe High School.

The Richmond Police Department continues to investigate the incident and says there is no threat to the public in connection with this case.
