RICHMOND (WRIC)—The ABC 8 News StormTracker weather team is closely monitoring a winter weather system that is expected to bring a few flurries to Central Virginia on Wednesday morning.

A weak weather system will pass to our north on Tuesday, and that will keep us in a mixture of sun and clouds. It will be much cooler than it has been the past few days, with highs only in the middle to upper 40s.

Another very weak weather system will move over us on Tuesday night. This will thicken the clouds overhead and lead to a few flurries for the Wednesday morning commute. We do not expect any accumulation from this system; any morning flurries will give way to sunshine by 10 a.m. and it will remain chilly on Wednesday, with highs in the lower 40s.

Thursday and Friday will feature mostly sunny skies, with highs in the middle 40s on Thursday. It will be colder on Friday, with highs in the upper 30s.

Another very weak weather system will slide through the ABC 8 News viewing area on Saturday, bringing a few extra clouds, but we look to remain dry, with highs in the lower 40s.

Partly sunny skies will be with us for Sunday, with highs in the upper 40s. Rain will develop with our next weather system for Monday, with highs near 50 degrees.
