HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC)—The Hanover Fire Marshal’s Office has charged two youths in connection with multiple brush fires that were set in the Battlefield Green subdivision earlier this month.
Fire marshals, along with the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, investigated the cause of the brush fires, which were set early in the morning on Saturday, March 1.
“We take all fires seriously, especially fires that are intentionally set,” said Chief Jethro Piland of Hanover Fire & EMS. “These fires put lives in danger and place a strain on our resources. Our strong partnership with the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office was instrumental in solving this case.”
