UPDATE: According to Virginia State Police, the search for Lucas Guinn and his abductor, Jimmy D. Guinn, ended Friday morning with their discovery during a traffic stop in Southwest Virginia. Lucas Guinn, 11, was safely recovered during that traffic stop. Jimmy Guinn, 67, was taken into custody without incident.
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) - An Amber Alert has been issued for an 11-year-old boy missing from Russell County, Virginia since Thursday morning. The child is believed to be in extreme danger.
The child, Lucas Ezra Silas Guinn, 11, was last seen at Lebanon Middle School in Russell County. He stands 4 feet, 8 inches tall, has brown hair and brown eyes. He is a white male child, and weighs about 84 pounds.
Police said they are seeking his father, 67-year-old Jimmy Donald Guinn. Guinn has blue eyes, brownish-gray hair, stands 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs about 235 pounds.
The two may be traveling in a purple freightliner tractor with a Virginia license plate reading 78471PY. They may also be riding in a burgundy diesel pickup truck, heading northbound towards West Virginia or Ohio.
