Police: Angry Teen Tried to Stab Student on Chesterfield Bus

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -

After reportedly displaying a knife and trying to stab a 16-year-old boy, a 17-year-old male suspect is facing charges for the assault which took place on a Chesterfield County Public Schools bus Thursday morning.

Police say that the suspect got angry with another male juvenile and attempted to stab him with a folding knife. The 16-year-old victim was not injured in the incident.

At the time of the incident, the bus was heading to the Chesterfield Technical Center, located at 10101 Courthouse Road.

The suspect has been charged with misdemeanor assault and possession of a weapon on school property.
