D.C. Police have found the body of an adult male near Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens in their search for missing 8-year-old Relisha Rudd.

The body found has been tentatively identified as 51-year-old Kahlil Tatum, Rudd’s alleged kidnapper who was recently charged with murdering his wife after her body was discovered in an Oxon Hill, Md. Motel room. The identity of the body discovered on Monday has not yet been confirmed.

Rudd was last seen with Tatum on Sunday, March 1. Police later learned Tatum had spent time in Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens the following day after purchasing black trash bags. Authorities have since been searching the 700-acre park for the pair.

Rudd is 4 feet tall and weighs approximately 70 to 80 pounds. She has black hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion.

Anyone with information about Rudd’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the MPD Command Information Center at 202-727-9099.
