RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -

Three people have been indicted in connection with the death of 20-year-old Samantha Myers, who was found dead in a Richmond ravine last month.

Myers’ body was discovered in a ravine off of the 3700 block of North Hopkins Road on March 24. Police say she was likely killed on or around Feb. 28.

Yvette Hairston, Myers’ 40-year-old stepsister who was initially charged with murder, was indicted on charges of concealing a dead body and destroying evidence.

Hairston’s 21-year-old daughter, Selena Hairston, and Jamarr Hursey, 25, were both originally charged with conspiracy to commit murder. This week, they were each indicted on charges of first-degree murder.

According to an affidavit obtained by ABC 8News, Yvette Hairston admitted to killing Myers in an upstairs bedroom of her home on the 1300 block of Evert Avenue before hiding her body in a closet in an adjacent room. The document also states that Hairston researched how to clean up blood online before heading to Walmart to purchase items needed to dispose of her stepsister’s body. She allegedly dumped the body early the next morning. Search warrants also reveal that an iPad, laptop and hammer, among other items, were seized from Hairston’s home.
