Puppy Intentionally Run Over by Car in Williamsburg

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WRIC) - The York-Poquoson Sheriffs Office needs the public's help identifying a suspect who intentionally ran over a puppy with a car.

On April 15 at 4 p.m., police say a male suspect purposely run over a small tan pit-bull puppy at the intersection of Hubbard Lane and Hillside Lane.

Police say the suspect travel south bound on Hubbard Lane toward Penniman Road and then lower a young pit-bull puppy on the street from the vehicle. After placing the puppy on the street he proceeded to accelerate and run the puppy over.

The 5-8 week old puppy died soon after.

The suspect is described as a black male approximately 30-50 years old with short curly hair. The vehicle as being a navy blue van or SUV with a distinctive thick, white stripe around the entire vehicle. The suspect vehicle may be an older boxy type of Chevrolet vehicle.  Deputies responded and checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
