HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) - UPDATE: Southbound lane of Pemberton Road has been reopened near Mayland Drive following repairs associated with a broken water main valve.

The southbound lane of Pemberton Road is currently closed, while crews repair a broken water main valve in Henrico County’s West End.

Route 157/Pemberton Road is shut down near where it intersects with Mayland Drive, north of I-64, east of Gaskins Road and south of West Broad Street. Workers are currently using the northbound lane of Pemberton Road to direct north- and southbound traffic in alternating fashion.

Drivers should expect delays, use caution and take an alternate route if possible.

According to the Henrico County Department of Public Utilities, the repairs should be completed by 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

Roughly 46 customers’ water service is being affected by the broken water main.
