Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Central Virginia Thursday Night

There is a chance of thunderstorms on Thursday later in afternoon and evening from 4 p.m. through 10 p.m.

Some of the storms will be strong to severe with gusty winds in excess of 55mph, frequent lightning and heavy rain. 

kies will become partly cloudy Thursday night and it will be muggy with lows in the lower to middle 70s.

Friday will feature partly sunny skies with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms.  It will still be hot and humid with highs in the upper 80s to near 90.  Clouds will start off the day on Saturday but the sunshine will mix through, however we will still run the risk of some rain and thunder at times.  Sunday will be a little better with partly sunny skies and highs in the middle 80s.
