Suspect Sought for Assaulting Officers Arrested

A man suspected of assaulting Richmond Police officers was arrested without incident Friday evening; he was sought in conjunction with a June 10 traffic stop incident.

Working with Henrico Police and the U.S. Marshal's Regional Task Force, Richmond Police located 21-year-old Daejshon-terrique Blizzard in an apartment complex on Laburnum Avenue in Henrico County.

Blizzard was arrested and taken into custody without incident.

Police say Blizzard, of the 3200 block of Chamberlayne Avenue, is suspected of injuring Richmond Police officer when his vehicle struck officers during a traffic stop on the morning of Tuesday, June 10.

At approximately 3:15 a.m., Tuesday, June 10, officers attempted to stop Blizzard for a moving violation in the 1600 block of Lamb Avenue. He turned the vehicle and struck the officers and then ran from the scene on foot.

A release from Richmond Police stated:
