Richmond ranks as #1 when it comes to celebrating the 4th of July, according to Wallet Hub.

When it comes to an enjoyable Independence Day, there's no better place in the country to celebrate than Richmond.
According to Wallet Hub's "2014's Best & Worst Cities for July 4th Celebrations" list, Richmond, Virginia ranks number one in terms of the top spots to celebrate the Fourth of July.
Wallet Hub's website says it used "14 different metrics, ranging from weather forecasts to hotel prices," to rank the 100 largest cities in the United States. Richmond hits the sweet spot in all of these categories, especially entertainment and food, attractions & recreation/outdoor activities, as well as 4th of July weather forecast.
