RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – A late night Tuesday shooting on Richmond’s Southside marked the City’s third deadly shooting in just 48 hours.
Richmond Police responded to the 5800 block of Orcutt Lane, just off Hull Street Road around 11 p.m. Tuesday for reports of random gunfire.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a man in his 20's suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to VCU Medical Center where he died.
This is the third deadly shooting in the City in the last two days.
Just about five hours before the Tuesday’s shooting on Orcutt Lane, Richmond police responded to a different shooting in the 800 block of N. 21st Street in Union Hill. There, officers found a man dead in an alley.
On Monday, one man was killed after two men opened fire on each other outside a gas station on Hull Street. Detectives are calling Monday afternoon’s shooting a death investigation.
