Local Fourth of July Celebrations: Where to See Fireworks

Happy Independence Day! Looking for a great place to celebrate and see some fireworks with your family? Check out this list of local 4th of July events:

Dogwood Dell (6000 S Blvd, Richmond, VA 23220): Celebration starts at 5:15, including live music from several bands. Fireworks start at dark.

The Diamond: There will be a fireworks display tonight at the diamond, following the Flying Squirrels game at 6:05. There's another show Saturday night.

Chesterfield County Fairgrounds (10300 Courthouse Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832): The annual Independence Day festivities will again be held at the county fairgrounds. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the fireworks go off at dark.

Crump Park (Henrico): The Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration takes place from 1-5 p.m. Wear your red, white and blue to show your American pride, and don't miss the Pirate Play area.

Kings Dominion (Doswell): Dominion at Dusk features a dazzling fireworks display, kicking off when the park closes at 10 p.m.
