Woman, 2 Children Thrown from SUV in Prince George Accident

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -

A woman and five children were injured when the SUV they were riding inside crashed and overturned near the intersection of South Crater Road and Prince George Drive Wednesday afternoon.

Witnesses say the woman, who was driving the SUV, as well as two of the five children in the vehicle were thrown from it around 2:30 p.m. July 9. Two of the individuals in the accident sustained serious injuries; police have not released information on the nature or extent of their injuries. Five of the six injured were taken to Southside Regional Hospital for treatment.

The woman was the mother of one of the children; the other children were not related.
