Medical Examiner: Richmond Toddler Died of Blunt Force Trauma to Abdomen

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -

The cause of a Richmond toddler's death at the hands of a 43-year-old man has been revealed. Kevin L. Webb was arrested Thursday in connection with the homicide.

O'ustin Spratley, 2, died of blunt for trauma to the abdomen. His death is classified as a homicide, according to Medical Examiner's Office.

43-year-old Kevin L. Webb was placed under arrest and has been charged with felony child abuse and malicious wounding following an investigation by police after they were called to the home in 1400 block of Oakhurst Lane in Richmond yesterday night.

Once they arrived, officers found a young O'utsin suffering from an apparent medical issue. After being transported to the hospital, the child later died.
