Richmond Police Seeking Public's Help In Robbery Investigation

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -

Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying a man being categorized as a person of interest in an armed robbery in the city's East End.

On Sunday, July 27, a woman was walking along the 800 block of North 30th Street when she was approached by an unknown male who robbed her at gunpoint.

As the investigation continued, detectives were able to identify a person of interest from surveillance footage and are asking those with information to contact Richmond Police Department Detective Calvin Layne at (804)-646-0698.

Those with tips are also encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. Citizens can also text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word "ITip" followed by your tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
