Double Shooting at Richmond Apartment Complex

Posted: Updated:
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) - Police are looking for suspects involved in a shooting at Midlothian Village Apartment Complex that sent two men to the hospital Thursday night.

A call came into police for random gunfire around 9:50 p.m. While on the way to the scene, several calls came in about multiple victims in varying locations. Officers found two victims when they arrived at the scene in the 4000 block of Midlothian Turnpike.

Two black males, a 23-year-old and a 29-year-old victim, were found in the courtyard of the apartment complex; one man had been shot in the leg and the other victim was shot in the groin. Both victims suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital.

Police are looking for four to five black males believed to be the gunmen. Police say witnesses saw a dark SUV with a ski rack on top leaving the area, but at this time they are not positive that the SUV was the suspects' vehicle. It is unclear if the victims knew their attackers.
