Body Found In Hanover In Burned Vehicle Identified

HANOVER, Va. - Police are investigating, after a man's body was found burned in a burned minivan in Mechanicsville.

Saturday, at approximately 7 a.m., the Sheriff's Office responded to the 6200 block of Watt House Road for report of a deceased body found inside of a burned 2004 Chevrolet minivan.  

Investigators are evaluating all evidence in this case and are working closely with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause and manner of death. The Sheriff's Office is also working with the Hanover Fire Marshal's Office to determine the cause of the fire.
