Richmond 4-year-old Injured After Being Hit With Hammer

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) - A 12-year-old boy is facing charges for hitting his 4-year-old brother in the head with a hammer.

Authorities say that the boy was inside his Raven Street home, fighting with someone around 2 a.m. on Wednesday. He began to swing a hammer around while arguing, and eventually hit his 4-year-old brother in the head with it accidentally.

The 4-year-old was taken to a local hospital and is expected to be okay.

Police say that mom was inside the home at the time of the incident, but she will not face charges.
