Some clouds have stuck around from last night's round of thunderstorms, but partly sunny skies will make an appearance today. Expect heat and humidity with high temperatures climbing to near 90 degrees.
There is another chance for showers and storms this afternoon and evening across Central Virginia. The most likely time frame for these thunderstorms to move through will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Similar to last night, storms could produce heavy rain along with a vivid lightning display.
Skies will be partly cloudy tonight with the muggy air remaining and low temperatures in the upper 60's.
Friday will be a decent day with partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 80's. It will still be humid on Friday, though that will break over the weekend.
Another weather disturbance will roll through central Virginia late Friday night into Saturday morning. This system will bring us another chance of rain and thunderstorms. Any rain will quickly end on Saturday morning and clouds should clear by noon, allowing for a partly sunny afternoon. High temperatures on Saturday will climb into the middle 80's.
Sunday will be a delightful day with partly sunny skies and highs in the middle 80's.
Mostly sunny skies are expected for Monday and Tuesday with highs in the middle to upper 80's.
