Last Concert Cafés August schedule to be highlighted by FORGOTTEN SPACE, Mystery Loves Company, Fear the Poet and Ken Jones & Friends.

The schedule of live entertainment at Last Concert Café has been announced for the end of the month of August. Jimmy Lee Dean will once again headline the weekend lineup, but he will be joined by artists such as FORGOTTEN SPACE, Mystery Loves Company, Fear the Poet and Ken Jones & Friends. There will also be open mic nights and a comedy show on Sunday, Aug. 24.
Jimmy Lee Dean, a favorite of Last Concert Café regulars, will take to the stage on Aug. 18, 22, 23, 25, 29 and 30. He goes on at 7 p.m. each of those nights. These shows include live music and free dinner. Gratuity is encouraged.
FORGOTTEN SPACE will take to the stage following Jimmy Lee Dean at 8 p.m. on Aug. 22. The following night, three bands will take to the stage at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23. Mystery Loves Company, Fear the Poet and Ken Jones and Friends will perform and are sure to delight the Last Concert Café crowd. All three groups are local Houston acts with reputations for putting on great shows.
Three poets will also take to the stage that night, bringing sizzling hot performances with a youthful attitude. Two performers scheduled are Kenan Ince and Elina Petrova, while a third, unnamed poet that has yet to be announced will join them as well. The door price for the Aug. 23 shows is $5.
An Attack of the Comedy Show will take to the stage at 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24. Open mic nights will also be held at 8 p.m. Aug. 18 and 25.
