Chesterfield County Police detectives confirmed Tuesday that they have arrested a man in connection to two robberies at local convenience stores.
According to police, investigators obtained warrants for 41-year-old Royal L. Pollard for robbery, attempted robbery, using a firearm in commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon for his role in the robbery of two separate Circle K stores on August 6.
Police allege that Pollard entered the Circle K store on 2320 West Hundred Road and, once inside, demanded money and brandished a firearm.
The man fled before getting any cash. Less than thirty minutes later, the same man robbed the Circle K store at 2117 Willis Road. Similar to the earlier robbery, the suspect flashed a gun while demanding money of the cashier.
After making off with an undisclosed amount of money, the man fled on foot toward a nearby restaurant before fleeing into a waiting vehicle.
Chesterfield County Police worked closely with the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force and arrested the man in Michigan on Monday.
