August-Labor Day Weekend: Central Virginia Fire Fighters Fill the Boot Campaign for MDA – all local fire departments will be out during the month of August leading up to Labor Day weekend filling the boot for MDA at store fronts, intersections, etc.
- September 2nd: MDA Show of Strength 8pm-11pm- Tune in from 8pm to 11pm right here on TV8 Sunday, September 2nd for the MDA Labor Day Telethon. Be the first to flex by joining us and donating to help all the area kids (big and small) affected by Muscular Dystrophy. Remember if you "Make a Muscle, you can Make a difference, Sunday, September 2nd.
- August 26th – September 3rd: Haley Auto Group Sale-a-Thon: Come in to any of your local Haley Auto Group Dealerships during this week. $10 will be donated to MDA for every test drive taken & $50 for every car sold!!
- September 15th: Dreams Come True Golf Tournament – Royal New Kent Golf Club
- November 8th: Mechanicsville Lockup – Hampton Inn of Mechanicsville
