Delaney Hall joined the 8News team in August 2019 and is honored to tell the stories of her hometown. Delaney grew up in Glen Allen in Henrico County, is a Deep Run Wildcat and graduate of Virginia Tech.
Delaney started at 8News as a reporter, and was promoted to the weekend evening anchor role in December 2021. She was then promoted to Good Morning Richmond co-anchor in March 2022.
Prior to joining the news team at WRIC, Delaney reported for our Nexstar sister station in Roanoke, Virginia. Her greatest memory of her time in Roanoke was traveling to Panama City, Florida, to help another Nexstar station cover the Hurricane Michael recovery efforts.
Delaney has covered a wide variety of stories across Central Virginia including the removal of the Robert E. Lee statue in Richmond, presidential and local elections, and highlighting community efforts through Soul of RVA.
When not at work, Delaney can be found checking out Richmond restaurants or spending time with her goldendoodle, Louie, and golden retriever, Willow!
