Michelle Morgan joined WRIC-TV in July of 2018. She came to Richmond from KRTV-TV in Great Falls, MT where she spent 2 years as the morning meteorologist.
She covered winter storms, wildfires, flooding, and severe storms across central Montana.
Michelle grew up in Brooklyn, NY and at a very young age, she was always curious about the weather. She read books about the weather and had her parents change the channel to the local news channel every night to watch the meteorologist deliver their forecast. She then moved to Clermont, FL with her family and experienced her first hurricane in 2004. After experiencing numerous hurricanes that year, that solidified her decision to study the science and physics behind meteorology.
She attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Meteorology minoring in Physics. She also attended the Connecticut School of Broadcasting shortly after and interned at WESH-TV in Orlando, FL.
Michelle is very excited to be back on the east coast and to be closer to her family in Florida. In her spare time, she loves going to the parks and museums with her husband and son.
