Natalie Kalibat is the weekday sports anchor for ABC8, WRIC 8News.
A former Division I diver, Nataliefinaled in the 2012 Olympic Trials for the 10-meter synchronized platform event. In her senior year at USC, Natalie contributed to the Pac-12 Championship title that the Trojans won in Swimming and Diving in 2016.
While at USC, Natalie interned for ESPN, Pac-12 Networks and in the sports department of NBC4 Southern California. With a strong athletic background, Natalie brings forth her knowledge, experience and work ethic as a former Division-1 athlete with her to work every day.
She is passionate about connecting with athletes and coaches, while piecing together their stories allowing them to brighten your tv screen.
After graduating from USC, Natalie served just over a year as the weekend sports anchor and reporter for Nexstar station, WBOY in West Virginia.
She attributes her love of sports to growing up in a family of Division-I athletes. Her oldest sister, Kristiana, swam at Wagner College in Staten Island, New York. Her brother Peter was the captain of the men’s swimming and diving team at Georgetown University. Natalie’s mother, Rebecca Kalibat, an Arlington native, was also a collegiate swimmer, who graduated from Mary Washington in 1985. Natalie takes pride in her mother’s roots, which come from Norfolk, Virginia, she is thrilled to be in Virginia, where she spent a majority of her childhood visiting family.
Natalie is happy to be covering the exciting sports teams that are here in the city of Richmond. She loves spending her free time with her family and friends, working out and exploring what this beautiful city has to offer.
