Nicole McMullin joined the WRIC-TV digital team in March 2020 after a 15-year career in publishing, digital media and marketing. She specializes in digital strategy, social media and multi-platform storytelling.
Nicole was a member of the 2017 Southern Newspaper Publishers’ Association NEX-GEN media leadership class. In 2011, she was named one of the “25 Under 35” working in media by Editor & Publisher magazine. She has also received honors from the Virginia Press Association for multimedia storytelling and marketing.
She is currently pursuing an Executive Master of Business Administration degree at Virginia Commonwealth University and she received her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Virginia Union University. She is also past president of the Virginia Pro chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
Nicole’s favorite hobby is to unplug from her phone and computer and spend time outside kayaking on the river with her family. If a river isn’t available, she’ll happily ride her bike.
She lives in Chesterfield County with her husband, daughter and rescue dog (who unfortunately doesn’t like water).
