Olivia Jaquith joined the 8News team as a Digital Reporter in October 2020 and became a television reporter in 2021.
Before moving to Richmond, she worked at WENY in Elmira, N.Y., as the anchor and producer for Good Morning Twin Tiers.
Olivia got her start in television as an intern with NBCUniversal in New York City. She later became a Production Assistant at USA and Syfy networks, as well as on the 2018 Olympic Winter Games. She also spent time working in Albany, N.Y., as a Public Information Specialist with Capital Region BOCES, producing communications for school districts in the area.
Born and raised in upstate New York, Olivia graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., in 2016 with a B.A. in Communications with dual concentrations in Sports Communications and Journalism, and a minor in Spanish. She also ran NCAA Division I track with the Red Foxes.
She made the move to Virginia to be closer to family in Alexandria and Washington, D.C., and is already loving the area. She is a history buff and enjoys soaking in the beautiful places and stories Richmond has to offer.
