Sierra joined the 8News team May 2022.
Before making the move to Richmond, Sierra reported and fill-in anchored in Illinois. She’s thrilled to be back on the East Coast and back in the state of Virginia, which is where she first found her love for journalism.
Sierra graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Foreign Affairs with a minor in Global Culture and Commerce. From interviewing political figures like IL Governor J.B. Pritzker and members of the Russian Ballet Theatre to diving deep into coverage of COVID-19 and its impact on different local communities, Sierra has a passion for telling stories and can’t wait to continue to explore the city.
When she’s not working, she looks forward to exploring the ballet and arts scene in Richmond!
