Tyler joined the 8News team in May 2023 as the Virginia Capitol Bureau Reporter.
Before moving to Richmond, Tyler spent two years in Northeast Louisiana as a reporter and fill-in anchor covering politics and other hard news for KNOE.
Originally from Southbury, Connecticut, Tyler graduated from Emerson College in Boston with a degree in Journalism and Sports Communications.
While at Emerson, Tyler worked as a producer at WEEI Sports Radio Network in Boston.
While not covering politics, Tyler is an avid sports fan and runner — even completing the London Marathon in 2023.
