WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — Colonial Williamsburg is offering a new ghost tour that brings guests inside the historic area’s iconic and darkened buildings.
Haunted Williamsburg is offered twice nightly at 7 and 8:30 p.m., and tours depart from the Playbooth Theater on the Palace Green.
“Only Colonial Williamsburg invites guests after dark into historic sites like the Wythe, Geddy and Randolph houses and the Governor’s Palace to experience stories of the departed who haunt us today,” said Robert Currie,” Colonial Williamsburg director of entertainment and evening programs. “Each night brings chilling tales of lost love, murder, betrayal, and things that locals will assure you still go ‘bump’ in the night.”
Tickets are $19 and $12 for youths ages 12 and under. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
For families with younger children, Colonial Williamsburg offers the Ghost Walk Junior, a 45-minute ghost tour of traditional spooky stories without the nightmares.
