On Friday, August 10, Richmond City Councilwoman Cynthia Newbille holds six Honorary Street Naming Designation Unveiling Ceremonies in the 7th Voter District.
Ceremonies for honorees are as follows:
Carl Otto, 9:30 – 10:00 a.m. at the corner of Williamsburg Rd. & Stoney Run
Spencer Jones & Earl Robinson, 10:15 – 11:00 a.m. at the corners of Williamsburg Ave. & Fulton St./Goddin St.
Mary Lou Decossaux, 11:00 – 11:30 a.m. at the corner of Williamsburg Rd. & Salem St.
Percy & Angie Strickland, 2:00 – 2:30 p.m. at the corner of North 31st St. and “N” St.
Mary Thompson, 2:30 – 3:00 p.m. at the corner of North 22nd St. & “Q” St.
Willie Andrews, 3:00 – 3:30 p.m. at the corner of North 23rd and County Rd.
The honorary street naming designations are part of legislation recently established by Richmond City Council.
The events are free and open to the public.
