Pulsepoint app could help save lives in Richmond

Positively Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The ‘Pulsepoint AED’ app helps users locate an AED when a cardiac emergency strikes.

‘Pulsepoint AED’ allows users to report and update AED locations so that emergency responders or users trained in CPR can find an AED close by. All users have to do is take a picture and describe the location and that information is then sent to first responders to verify.

The information then becomes available to users making it easier to find a life-saving device. This also helps Richmond emergency dispatch direct citizens to the nearest AED.

CPR trained citizens can also download the ‘Pulsepoint Respond’ app that alerts you when someone nearby is in cardiac arrest.
