Richmond, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police just launched a new program called RPD Reads.
It’s a program where officers read to kids, and it’s a chance for them to positively interact with kids.
They’ll be reading to kids ranging to pre-school to middle-school aged.
RPD Reads is the result of a partnership between Richmond Police and the Friends Association for children, an organization that’s been caring for children since 1871.
One officer says he’s excited to be a part of this great collaboration, and tweeted the photos.
