RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Come out to the Virginia Capital Trail at Rocketts Landing on Saturday, May 18 for the ‘Stand with Rob Fun Walk.’

The event benefits Rob Drescher, who was born with a very rare disease that eventually paralyzed him at age 14. He has been going through rehabilitation at Sheltering Arms and using the Indego Robotic Walking system to walk.

Drescher is trying to raise the $90,000 needed to get his own Indego walking device.

December 2019 will be his ten year anniversary of becoming paralyzed, and he hopes to have his own device by then.

You can help Drescher by signing up for the Stand with Rob Fun Walk here.

The walk begins at 9 a.m., and there will be cornhole, music, and raffle prizes. An after party will also be held at the Southern Railway Taphouse from 1 to 4 p.m.
