ORANGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — At least two people were killed when a small plane crashed in Orange County Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. in the 10,000 block of Tinder Lane. According to Virginia State Police, the small, fixed-wing, single-engine aircraft crashed in the roadway at the intersection of Tinder Lane and Ridge Field Lane.

State police are still working on confirming the identification of the deceased and notifying next of kin.
