Boys & Girls Club kids go “Shopping with the Rams”

News

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Each year the VCU Rams men’s basketball program goes to a Target in the greater Richmond area to shop with local kids who need help during the holidays to have a Merry Christmas.

This year, they went to the Target at Libbie Place on W. Broad St. and guided 50 kids from the Richmond Boys & Girls Club around the store with $100 to spend, all from various donations, to get whatever was on their holiday wish list.

VCU head coach Will Wade says it’s a great way to give back in a small way and is also enjoyed by players, coaches and other staff on the basketball team to interact with the kids to provide Christmas cheer to all.
