Police investigating a homicide, two additional shootings in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Officers in Richmond are investigating a homicide from early Sunday morning in Shockoe Bottom. It was one of three separate shooting incidents that occurred in the city overnight.

The homicide incident happened on North 20th Street and Broad Street. At 2:24 a.m., police in the area heard gunshots and found a person shot in the street. The victim died at the scene.

A juvenile male was shot on 5th Ave. just before 11 p.m. Saturday night. Officers say the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

And then around 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning, a male suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being shot on Clarkson Rd.
