Virginia teen accused of sexually assaulting multiple women

ALBEMARLE, Va. (WRIC) — Detectives with Albemarle County Police arrested an 18-year-old in connection with three recent sexual assault incidents.

Alex Franklin Hovey of Faber, Virginia was arrested on Tuesday, April 16.

Authorities say Hovey was accused of sexually assaulting one woman near the Pantops Shopping Center this past February.

Hovey is also accused of assaulting two women in April; one near Albemarle Square and another in Covesville.

Police have charged Hovey with two separate counts of Sexual Battery and one Felony count of Aggravated Sexual Battery.

Hovey is currently being held at Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail without bond.
