Chesterfield man identified in fatal Richmond southside shooting


RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police Department detectives have identified the victim of a homicide that occurred yesterday afternoon at Foxwood Apartments on the city’s south side.

At approximately 4:12 p.m., officers were called to the 5000 block of Snead Road for a report of shots fired and a person down. They arrived to find Brian M. King, 24, of the 4000 block of Mallard Creek Circle in Chesterfield County, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound in a courtyard at the apartment complex.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later succumbed to his injuries.
